Affiliate program policy

Rules for our partner program: how referrals work, how commission is calculated, and how payouts are requested.

1. Program overview

The Cape Cannabis affiliate program lets approved members share a personal link or code. Friends may receive a discount at checkout; you may earn commission on qualifying referred orders. Program rates (commission %, friend discount %, minimum payout) are shown on the affiliate page.

2. Eligibility & application

  • You must be a registered member in good standing.
  • Apply with a unique vanity code and a short note on how you will promote. Applications may be approved, rejected, or left pending after review.
  • We may suspend or terminate partner access for policy breaches or abuse.

3. Tracking & attribution

  • Clicks on your link and use of your code are logged for attribution.
  • A referral may attach at signup and/or at checkout when your code is applied, subject to technical and anti-fraud rules.
  • Lifetime attribution for referred members may apply where configured - future qualifying orders can still credit your balance.
  • Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and forced attribution are not allowed.

4. Commission

  • Commission is calculated on the referred order subtotal after a successful paid order, at the commission rate shown in your dashboard.
  • Shipping fees, tips, and non-qualifying adjustments are typically excluded unless we state otherwise.
  • Cancelled, fully refunded, or fraudulent orders may reverse related commission.
  • Balances and history are visible in your affiliate dashboard when approved.

5. Friend discount

Members using your valid code may receive an automatic percentage discount at checkout. The discount and your commission are independent line items governed by server rules at the time of the order.

6. Payouts

  • You may request a payout when your available balance reaches the minimum payout threshold.
  • Save a payout method in your dashboard (institution, account holder, account number, branch / routing as required). We process requests after review.
  • Payout timing depends on verification, volume, and operational schedules. Status is shown against each request.
  • We may hold or decline payouts pending investigation of unusual activity.

7. Promotional conduct

You agree to:

  • Promote honestly - no fake claims, medical guarantees, or misleading pricing.
  • Follow South African advertising and cannabis-related restrictions; target only appropriate adult audiences (18+).
  • Avoid spam, purchased traffic that is clearly fraudulent, cookie stuffing, or trademark-bidding that impersonates Cape Cannabis without permission.
  • Not present yourself as an employee or official branch unless authorised.

8. Brand & assets

You may use your link and approved public brand references in a respectful way. Do not alter logos in a misleading manner or register domains / social handles that impersonate the club.

9. Data & privacy

Click and conversion data are processed to operate the program. See our Privacy policy. Do not scrape or misuse other members’ personal information.

10. Changes & termination

We may update rates, rules, or end the program with notice via the site or dashboard. Outstanding approved balances may still be paid out subject to verification and this policy. Termination for abuse may forfeit unpaid balances tied to invalid traffic.
